Bridgewater Mill and Waterwheel. Set in the charming town of Bridgewater in the rambling scenery of the Adelaide Hills, this old mill dates back to 1860 when it was built by John Dunn, a mill engineer from Devonshire. He built a number of flour mills throughout Australia, but the Bridgewater Mill is by far his most famous.
Situated on Mount Barker Road, the mill boasts an impressive working waterwheel which was built back in the mid 1800s. Dunn chose this particular spot for the mill because it was a prime hotspot for catching traffic that passed through the area.
In 1986, the mill was bought by a consortium that renovated it and integrated an award-winning winery into the building: Petaluma wines. Today, it is both a popular restaurant and a wine cellar, drawing in crowds looking for cultural pursuits in the Adelaide area.

This is a fantastic all day tour which took in the Adelaide Hills , then a 3 hour lunch cruise on the Murray River then to Hahndorf. Many more was included in this 8 hour cheuffered tour by the host Greig who was wonderful . Highly recommended

This tour is an absolute must on anyone's list and we highly recommend! The word which comes to mind for CP Tours and Charters is EXEMPLARY! Greig was so accommodating from the moment we stepped on board the luxury vehicle and throughout the entire tour. We enjoyed the sights of the Adelaide Hills and through to the River Murray cruise. We'll be booking a wine tour with you very soon, there would not be any other way. The whole tour with a small group of seasoned travellers from all states of Australia was wonderful and our driver Vesna was the best host providing us with all the information on the tour. The cruise on the Murray River was very relaxing and the choices of lunch was very good and looked yummy between all our selections. And the wines and cocktails for purchase were very well priced and not over the top like some other business' have done in Covid hit times. I would recommend this tour for a day

Tour guide great. Paddleboat I believe is getting a revamp, which is much needed. A bit underwhelming. Mt Lofty nice.

We had a lovely day exploring the Adelaide Hills and Murray Bridge areas. First stop was at the Mt Lofty Lookout where we had a wonderful view of Adelaide and beyond to the Yorke Peninsula. We then made our way to Murray Bridge where we boarded our paddle wheeler boat for a 3 hour lunch cruise which was very enjoyable and informative (see seaparate review). We then made our way to Hahndorf for a 2 hour stop which personally I thought was too long as we were just waiting for pick up time for the last hour. My only criticism of this tour was that we were advised we would be doing a walk around Thorngrove Manor and a stop at Bridgewater Mill to look at the old mill but we did neither (just a drive by Thorngrove). We did however stop at the town of Stirling which was very picturesque with the beautiful Autumn colours of reds and pinks, however this was not what was promised. I imagine this may have been because the driving part of the day was outsourced to another tour company. Overall we enjoyed the day, and would recommend this tour as it's a great day out!

This was a nice day out, the meal was massive and tasty! Vesna was lovely, very informative and accommodating. I would’ve like to have spent more time in Hanhdorf and maybe a little less on the bit. 75

The trip is to long They do not know how to make cocktails they were put in the wrong glasses just disgusting drinks Bread rolls left on the plates before we got on board with fly’s on it The boat on the outside would look much better with a paint The inside badly need a paint and redoing it smells Now to the driver Could not hear her when u r in the back of the van a mic would be a good investment in the trip Would hav liked to hear about the tour which we drove thur instead of the personal family bits and pieces The staff on board need clean nice uniforms for presentation Would not tell people to go on this trip
